Delete your SalahWaqt account

You can permanently delete your SalahWaqt account and the personal data attached to it. Deletion cannot be undone.

Option 1: in the app (fastest)

Open the SalahWaqt app and sign in.
Tap the menu (top right) and open Profile.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Enter your password and confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Option 2: by email, if you cannot use the app

If you have lost your phone, forgotten your password, or removed the app, email support@masjidfinders.in with the subject Delete my SalahWaqt account and include:

the mobile number you signed up with;
the name on the account.

We may ask you a question or two to confirm the account is yours before we delete it. We aim to finish within a few days and always within 30 days, and we will reply when it is done.

What is deleted

Removed straight away	Your name, mobile number, password (hash) and your favorite masjids.
Backups	Copies in routine server backups are overwritten as the backups rotate, and are kept for no more than 30 days.
If you managed a masjid	The masjid and its prayer times stay in the app, without an administrator, because they belong to the community. No personal details about you remain on it.
Not affected	Prayer times and place searches are not tied to your account, so there is nothing to delete for them.

You can sign up again later with the same number. It will be a new account with no history.
